The host, Susan, was super chill and made us feel right at home. The beds were mad comfy and the free Wi-Fi was clutch for streaming our favorite shows. We could even surf the web on the reg. And guess what? They had digital programming on TV, so we didn't miss our favorite shows. Best vacay ever!
The only thing we wished for was a party room with a sick sound system. It would've been dope to have a spot to vibe with our crew and turn up the music.

Always come back to this place. Remember staff gave me a cold drink my first stay. Has everything I need: Wi-Fi, pool, TV, kettle. Coming back soon for another trip.

The value for money at this guesthouse was excellent, with comfortable, clean rooms and a welcoming atmosphere. The location was perfect, situated between the city and the mountain, making it peaceful and picturesque. The staff treated us like family, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable.
The morning meal could have been improved with a small fridge in the room to keep our drinks cold.

We had a fantastic stay at this guesthouse. Susan, the host, was always friendly and ready to help. The breakfast was made to order and Susan personally prepared everything herself. The room was comfortable and clean. We loved the fact that we could park our car within the compound. The guesthouse was located in a safe neighborhood, with many restaurants within walking distance. We felt safe walking to and from the restaurants.
No complaints.

Susan and her son Roen* are absolutely amazing. They give such a homey feeling and are incredibly hospitable. The view of Lion's Head from our room was beautiful. The breakfast was fantastic and they even helped us clean our clothes. The location is very safe and quiet, next to Table Mountain and the city center.
Couldn't recommend this hotel more.

I was pleasantly surprised by my stay at 29 On Buxton Guesthouse. The owner was incredibly accommodating, even providing an earlier breakfast than expected. I also appreciated being able to use the verandah for a business meeting. The staff were friendly and the location was convenient and easy to find. I felt truly welcome and at home.
The lack of a fan in the room made it uncomfortably hot, especially during the mid to late 30-degree temperatures. It would have been nice to have a small fridge in the room to keep drinks cold.
